The season is kicking off gang, heck, maybe we should have a whole section just for listing hamfests, rallys and Field Day plans and activities. Here\'s our first local one coming up for the year......

Anyone planning a trip to Charlotte this year? I am trying to gather a few car-poolers from my area. :)

Have not been to that one in a long time. Would love to go but have to work.
Have fun and get something nice. :)

I went to the Charlotte Hamfest. I went the last day and lots of folks still wanted more than what their stuff was worth. I got one reasonable deal. I got a military fiberglass portable mast kit with a bag and base and stakes. I have it up now. It has my 6 meter H double bay on it. Made a contact on it yesterday. Not far but it worked. The Shelby Hamfest is the best I have been too. I want to go there again this year. Its supposed to be the biggest in the Southeast. It was huge. It took up the whole fairgrounds. They had everything.
