Title: CW Tone
Post by: K0DXC on February 18, 2008, 04:56:19 PM
Out of curiosity, what tone do you keep your CW receive on.

300hz, 400hz...800hz. I myself stick to the low end, about 400-500hz.

I stick with 800 or 1000hz myself and have my TS-570D(g) set to \'tune\' or zero beat at 1000hz.

I guess that\'s the nice thing about new rigs and ancient separate transmitters and receivers..... you can set it to where it\'s comfortable to your ear and that makes it easier to operate longer.

I usually keep mine centered, except during contests where I vary it up a bit to avoid fatigue.

I now changed mine and have it at 450Hz, sometimes lower depending on the situation.
