Hi Paul!

Yeah, we are kinda drama free here, well, usually. :)

Did you get much snow the other day? I got a snap shot view from my aunt\'s kitchen window in Windsor day before yesterday and was surprised to see bloom covered shrubs and her road quite well covered in the stuff!

Anyway, welcome, make yourself comfy and hang around a while. I am an old \'Sloughie\' (Stoke Poges actually) and I have been hanging out here in the colonies for the past 41 years now. :smileybaby:

We will keep it friendly, to the best of our abilities.  If we get some idiot in here messing things up, we will try our best to remedy it as quickly as possible.  Let us know if we miss anything.  Thanks, and enjoy your stay!

Hi Tom,
Yes we did have a little snow the other day, it went by about midday thankfully, I hate the stuff! Stoke Poges eh? Yes I know that place, although I live in east London I work over in Northwest London at Northwick Park hospital as a Senior Bio-Medical engineer, it was probably a new hospital 40 years ago, it\'s looking a bit tired these days, just like me :)

Never too late to say hello and glad to be here, thanks for the welcome. I haven\'t looked in lately, I\'m feeling a bit knackered lately with a new job and all that, so the computer has taken a back seat along with amateur radio. Next project is a K3 so when things have settled down a bit I might be able to get on the air a bit more often.

Do you have yours in and ready to put together Paul? My m8 here is still waiting for his tin case and bags of bits and bobs and odds and sods to arrive to start on his. I think the poor bugger watches the K3 videos on YouTube every day in preparation. :arf2:

Hi Tom, I\'ve only just ordered my bag of bits, so I guess it will take about six months to arrive, all being well with a following wind. Oh my, I haven\'t resorted to watching videos on it yet.

Ahhh, then the K3 addiction hasn\'t taken over your life yet.

Not yet Tom, but I went out and bought a big fat linear PSU so it will be ready when the K3 arrives, yes I know I should really build such a beast, but it\'s time constraints at the moment, I just don\'t seemed to get the time to build as much as I used to.

My grandpa has his K3 all put together, it is a GREAT radio. I have been to his house to use it and it astounds me in every category. You\'ll love it.

That\'s good to hear Cal, I can\'t wait till it arrives. I\'ve been watching the Elecraft reflector and there doesn\'t seem to be a bad word said about it, and you know what a pinickety group hams are at the best of times.

Yeah, there was one person who put it together in 4 hours and said the audio wasn\'t as top notch as he wanted it but that is probably because he was a broadcast engineer and that\'s what he does professionally so everything with him has to be "perfect"

You will love the K3.
