I had one of those a few years back. The freq display didn't read right so I found the two TR's that are known too cause the issue. I bought replacements in the NTE name and put them in. Still no good. I sold the radio and was told by the new owner that the NTE replacements legs on the TR we in a diff order. All he had to do was pull them out and cross two of the legs and reinstall. Fixed!

That taught me to read the info closer on TR's before installing them.
