Title: How not to repair a Kenwood TS-50
Post by: The Radio Shop on December 02, 2014, 05:36:12 PM
Bought a TS-50 off a guy. Someone really should consider getting out of radio repair.
Someone tried to replace caps using a soldering iron the size of a truck.
What a mess.

This does not look good. A solder bridge has burnt a trace on the bottom.

Well there is something going on in the regulator at IC-7. The voltages are not correct. The regulator is running very hot.

LH side is ref per schematic. RH side is what I read
