Demonstration of the HP-455A N coax line adapter. Connects directly in line with your coax and allows direct measurememt from 20Hz to 700MHz and according to HP literature meaningful measurements up to 3GHz.

The meter in the video is a military ME-26D/U which is basically a HP-410B on steroids. Unlike the 410A that used a matched pair of diode tubes, one in the probe and one inside the meter these and later models eliminated the second balance diode inside the meter.
