Title: Parts for my Heathkit SB 614 station monitor
Post by: kinkydoints on January 09, 2017, 04:35:17 PM
I just found a site that has /or will assemble the Heathkit SB-6XX High Voltage Repair Kit This kit of parts contains the typical parts necessary to rebuild your scope's High Voltage and get the brightness and focus working again. The original resistors were of the carbon composition type and these are known for drifting 'high' in value over time. In the kit you will find replacement parts for the two 3500 Volt diodes, the three 1600 Volt high voltage filter capacitors, plus various resistors to replace those in the high voltage circuit around the focus, brightness, and accelerator circuits. These are typically the parts that fail over time with normal operation.

The high voltage capacitors are Cornell Dubilier and the high voltage diodes are Vishay. All of the replacement resistors are quality film type that will not drift over time as did the originals. The kit includes 'easy to follow' instructions for replacing the necessary parts in your particular scope.

they had other kits as well not sure if I can paste a link but ...here it is

That's not bad. I was not aware of them.
Good find!
