Title: Hello from BC Canada
Post by: VA7MN on December 02, 2018, 12:51:05 AM
Hi Everybody, I came here via Buddy's excellent youtube videos. I was looking uo videos on the Yaesu FT-101 when I found his stuff on this great radio. It was my first radio way back in the early 80s when I was first licensed. It was a bit beat up but worked ok for a few years, with a bit of TLC. I then got a Swan 102BX and a couple of Kenwood radios. Years later, after a long absence from ham radio, I got my hands on a beautiful FT-101E, in near mint condition. Looking forward to putting it back on the air after some testing. I have limited space here, so am going for verticals. I also enjoy QRP CW. I also use the HTX-100 which is a good solid radio for 10M CW and SSB. Hope to work some of you on the bands this winter. Straight key night will soon be here!

Hi and welcome to the forums.  It is great to have you here.
The 101 is a great radio.  To some it is a love hate relationship lol.
I think they were one of the best radios ever produced.

Thanks for sharing and for the kind words.

Buddy
