Title: SENCORE CB42
Post by: Crambone on May 11, 2019, 10:14:14 AM
My CB42 frequency counter isn’t showing correct frequency, all numbers light up. I checked power to the top board and I’m seeing the 5v and 10v.
Just not sure we’re to start looking. I looked on YouTube and seen a video by The Radio Shop but it wasn’t for counter diagnosis.
Any suggestion on were to start? I did print out all the schematics he had on his site.

Start by checking voltages and AC ripple.  These logic circuits require that the voltage is spot on and clean.
Also change out any electrolytic capacitors.  At times I have seen the inductors on the counter board go open.
They look like little resistors.
