If you ever run into a problem on a cobra 29 LTD where the S-Meter is working on Cal, SWR and RF out but not showing any receive in then check diode  D316 to fix this problem.

Test Equipment / ComTekk SINAD
« on: December 11, 2016, 08:31:43 AM »
I'm going to bite the bullet here and try this software. Since I have a few old computers laying around why not test this out.

Has anyone here used this software? http://www.comtekk.us/sinad.htm

15 day free trial will be enough to let me know if I need to buy it. Think I will try this: "a DC-blocking capacitor (0.1~4.7uF) is recommended as a minimum for protection of computer" just for safety reasons while testing this software. If it works out I will buy their Sound Card Isolator/Protector for better safety.

Stay tuned as I will post my results here to help others that have thought about buying this software.

I use my Astron 50A on the main work bench but thought about getting one of these for a 2nd work bench that would not be pulling any heavy load.
