Man that is one beauty of an antenna and a fine assembly job to boot, but, for us 30MHz and below doofuses, tell us how she performs, how you track the bird and what your on the air experiences have been! :59:

Did you try the Fox Tango and or the Yahoo Carolina Traders Net Group, Buddy? A dollar to a doughnut sez you may find someone who has one they will part with there.

Oddly, about 6 months ago, almost ALL of my hammy gear was Yaesu, now, I have NO Yaesu stuff. Me thinks I need to hold on to my toys a little bit longer.

There is actually an amateur radio TV show kind of thing on YouTube. One of the episodes was about building your own super gain Wi-Fi antenna. If you can\'t find it there Crazy, let me know and I will dig that episode up for you, it was quite good.

By the way, as you are here posting Crazy, I hope the surgery went well!

I guess I should introduce myself in the official introduce yourself thread! :th_Smile-KnockKnock

My name is Tom and I live in Anderson, SC. Buddy and I keep bumping into each other here and there, so here I am.

I am an Extra class ham and I am the SC state OO Coordinator. My main interests are PSK 31, CW as well as SSB.

Also, my newest toy is a \'97 3.2L DOHC Isuzu Trooper and I have been having a blast cleaning it up and fixing a few little odds and ends here and there. Ummmm, I guess you could say that it\'s my GoKart for the moment. :arf2:

I have made a minor change or two in the shack, the main one being the scissor microphone stand which makes it quite easy for shifting it out of the way and then bringing it straight back to the operating position, quite handy!

Hi Buddy,

Yep that was the former set up behind the 210X...... FT-100D (fantastic little black balled rig that beats the socks off of it\'s alleged replacements) and a TMV7A.... never had an issue with the display on mine, even though the rig itself had been very highly abused before I rescued it and just in case, I did check into the cost of the screen replacement in the head and yeah, $150 is about right. Glad I never had to bother with that. I must have had the only remaining line free screen in the country that had not been replaced.
