In the first picture I do not see a selenium diode at all.  I need to look at the schematic tomorrow.
The back object with silver ends looks like a precision resistor or capacitor. An ohm meter may tell.

In the second picture that flat pack with the 6 legs is a resistor pack. There are multiple resistors inside. think of it as a crude attempt at a IC.

Hi Mark. I use a bird meter with a 40dm of attenuation.  Comes off te sample port. Never a problem.
I also at times use a small antenna with a right angle bnc. The SA receives the signal just fine and you can see any anomalies present, just cannot make accurate measurements this way.  There are a few videos on YouTube. I will see if I can find them.

I cannot recommend anyone that works on these at a fair price.
But what selftest is it failing?
Sometimes pulling boards and cleaning the connectors will fix the problem.

Hi Mark and Welcome.
If you want an original they show up on ebay at times.  The good thing is it is a simple design probe.  1 meg ohm resistor and a switch. I have built many of these using large sharpie pens.  Remove the end and pull the ink tube out.  I have also used pvc tubing as well.  Sometimes we have to get very creative.
