How about transmit? Does it work ok? Power out, audio? If tx is fine I thaink it is a front end issue. Maybe the first rf amp is gone.
Check tr17, D15 and D16

Good deal Tommy. Keep us posted on results :)

Dave. The 555 tone generator is stable, but nasty. So we have to clean it up a bit.

Well, I have finally started my restoration project on a couple of 101's. I have a E and F that are in great shape.  I also have an EE that is in poor condition.
I worked on the F this past week end and got the receiver up to parr. Really great sounding rig. Now for the transmitter. I can get about a half of what out of it.

Hey that sounds great. A realistic should make a fine unit.  I have to get back on mine. Just so busy latley hard to do it. But makes me feel good knowing that others are following it.

I like the 5 volt line also. Thought about making it varible to supply voltage to nonworking stages of the unit under test. Another thing I want to design is an frequency error meter.  +/- 5 kc analog type. I have that in my expensive IRF and would love to have it in the homebrew rig.

Never used them either, but the name really rings a bell. I think these are the kits that Selman Enterprises (A.K.A. Secret CB) used to push so much. Just like the Bandit Antenna that you don't hear about anymore

Good memory!. That is correct.
