Hi all
« on: April 26, 2019, 06:40:25 AM »
I am new on this forum. My name is Steve, my ham call is KC7BYP, my home QTH is Kennewick, WA.  I am a General class operator. In my 2008 Pontiac Torrent I have a Ranger RCI-2950 and a Yeasu FT-8900R. I have in my shack a Icom ic-730 HF rig, a Kenwood  R-600 short wave receiver and a  Baofeng uv5ra 2m/70cm  VHF/UHF ht. Right now I can only operate HF via an internet controlled remote base. The free Windows based prog is at www.remotehams.com . I use the remote base because I live in an apt and I can't put up any outside antennas. The remote base setup isn't the ideal setup but it comes in a close 2nd. Without it, all I would have for HF is 10 meters in the mobile. 73s

Hi Steve and welcome.
Nice setup and at times we have to do the best we can.
HF mobile can be quite fun. I had a TS-140 and home brew HF antenna and had a great time with it.
