Thoughts on this power supply

Figured I would bring some life to the board and see what you guys think of this power supply.

I use my Astron 50A on the main work bench but thought about getting one of these for a 2nd work bench that would not be pulling any heavy load.

RJ,

My friend bought one of those for the workbench and it lasted about 2 months before it smoked.  It is made in China, just saying

Yeah that is what I figured it was cheap junk. Thanks for the info. I will pass on it as well.

Yes very cheap stuff made cheap. Now I am not saying not to buy one but if you do, you can go into the supply and make a few modifications. But this defeats the purpose of buying cheap.

Yeah I watched a video on one guy taking it all apart and redoing some things. His was a 5 amp one paying 35 bucks. Was enough to tell me to stay away..LOL
